Tola Wewe

Tola Wewe, born in 1959 in Okitipupa, Ondo State, Nigeria, is an internationally recognized contemporary Nigerian artist. He earned his degree in Fine Arts from the University of Ife in 1983, followed by a Master’s degree in African Visual Arts from the University of Ibadan in 1986.

Renowned for his contributions to contemporary African art, Tola Wewe’s work spans various artistic domains including painting and sculpture. Represented by Conseil Art African, his unique artistic style draws on rich Nigerian cultural traditions while engaging with global audiences.
